I had so many products that I wanted to write about on my blog that I figured I would bore anyone with having the same brand over and over again. So, I decided to write about all the products I own and about some that I had in the past. Of course, this post is not sponsored, Yves Rocher has no idea who I am LOL.
So, first of all, I’ve been trying all kinds of products from Yves Rocher overt the last 16 years. I used to buy their products when they didn’t even have stores or an online shop in Romania and they would sell products through catalogs – that’s a little much said because it was basically just a flyer with 5-6 products – that were inserted into women’s magazines. We didn’t have many alternatives back then, especially in small towns, where you could buy just cheap makeup from China or Turkey or order some Avon from friends who were representatives of the company. So to have some ‘fancy’ French cosmetics was something pretty special.
To make things easier, I grouped all products into categories, according to what they are used for and I’ll do some mini-reviews for them.

Bath and body care
Currently, I have 3 shower gels and one moisturizing lotion. The shower gels all contain 400 ml and the body lotion contains 390 ml. I like big bottles because I go through bath products quickly. The Coconut shower gel was about 3 euros, the Monoi de Tahiti shower gel was also about 3-4 euros and the White Vanilla shower gel was also 3 euros. The coconut shower gel is available permanently, the Monoi de Tahiti is part o their Tiare flower line and it can usually be found during summer and the white vanilla one was a limited edition for last years’ Christmas but now they had it on sale. Normally, they sold it for around 5-6 euros. Just so you see how companies charge more for Christmas packaging. Regardless, I love Yves Rocher shower gels. They have strong, but pleasant scents, they have a thick texture and they make lots of foam, so you don’t need to use much. I’ll probably have enough shower gels for the rest of the year, but I’ll probably buy more because I have an obsession with having different alternatives for my bath, according to my mood.
The moisturizing lotion contains aloe vera and it’s suitable for dry skin, but I like it anyway because you can never go wrong with a nice, thick body lotion. I don’t know the price of it because I received for free when I placed an order with them. I also like the bottle with a pump, because it’s so easy to use the product right after a shower or a bath. It has a very weak smell of something plant-based, but it does smell nice. I had other body lotions in the past and their formula has certainly improved because they used to have body lotions that wouldn’t absorb into the skin fast and that were a little sticky, but now they fixed that.

Perfumes
Nothing has changed since I wrote about my perfume collection so you can read more about Yves Rocher perfumes there. All I have to say is that for being affordable drugstore-priced perfumes, they have great quality.

Deodorants and other stuff
I should have made the body care category separate, but…whatever, you’ll forgive me for being a little scattered. I have two deodorants, one is with cotton flower and the other with lotus flower from Laos. Each was 3,5 euros, but they’re usually even cheaper than that. I like using them because they’re suitable for sensitive skin, they don’t stain the clothes and basically do their job.
Next to them is another product from the Monoi de Tahiti line with Tiare flower, a travel size 50 ml bottle of a precious dry oil which I bought for about 2, euros. It is a natural oil with small glitter particles in it. They say you can use it for body and hair, but I don’t put it on my hair because it already gets oily fast so I don’t need any additional oils. I like using it on the decolletage, or on the shoulders or legs, especially during summer, when I’m a little tan. It looks gorgeous. It does have a strong scent so I would use it only paired with products from the same line because otherwise, I think it would be an interesting mix of scents that can be too much. The oil separates, so you have to shake it well before you use it.

Skin care
These are the products that I have doubles of because I love them so much. The Pur Bleuet eye makeup remover, with cornflower flower is my all time favorite makeup remover because it’s so gentle on the eyes but it removes makeup very well. I just love it. They have a couple of more in the same line and they’re all great. They usually have them on buy-one-get-one-free types of sales, so that’s how I bought these two bottles for only 6 euros. Each bottle has 100 ml.
The other thing in the picture is a moisturizing eye gel from the Hydra Vegetal line, with organic blue agave sap and maple sap. It’s so good on the eyes. It doesn’t perform miracles for puffy eyes, but it does make them look more ‘awake’. They had it on sale for about 4 euros, so I bought two.
Regarding the Yves Rocher skin care in general, I can highly recommend it. I had very good experiences with their products, although some of them can be expensive.
Too bad they only have few acne products and they’re not always available. I don’t recommend that ‘face and body’ cream from their chamomille line because it’s too greasy for the face.

Face masks
I included them into a separate category because I love face masks and I have a couple of them from Yves Rocher. The big tube is part of the Tradition de Hammam line and it’s a Moroccan clay mask for face and hair. I use it only for the face because it has only 100 grams and I would be done with it in no time if I would use it for the hair as well. It’s like a usual clay mask, great for oily skin. It also smells nice because it also contains argan oil and I think some orange flower extract. I find it a little less harsh than some other clay masks. I bought it for about 8 euros, but currently, it’s even cheaper on their website so I think they might discontinue it.
The other two masks are new products in their line. They have a packaging similar to L’Occitane hand creams – I saw that type of packaging being ‘adopted’ by other brands as well. They are very affordable, only about 3 euros each, but they are also considerably smaller because they contain only 30 ml. On the other hand, it’s good that they’re small because you can buy them and try them all. The green one is a purifying and mattifying mask with kaolin clay. You just apply it, leave it for 5 minutes and then rinse it out with warm water. The blue one is an energizing mask with agave sap. This one looks like a white gel but it’s clear when applied on the skin. You leave it on for 5 minutes and then you remove the excess with a cotton pad and massage it into the skin. The mask is practically absorbed by the skin, so I didn’t need to remove anything, I just massage it well. It leaves a slight sticky layer on the skin, but if you apply your usual moisturizing cream afterward, it’s fine. I like pairing these two masks – first the clay one to remove all impurities and then the energizing one to hydrate the skin and make it soft and smooth. They also have an exfoliating mask in the line, but I don’t have that one because I don’t need exfoliators right now.
Just like the skincare, I also like Yves Rocher masks and have used them often in the past.

Makeup
I don’t have many Yves Rocher makeup products not because they’re not good, but because I find that they sometimes are too expensive for how they perform. The quality is there, but just like any other drugstore brands, even though the packaging is nicer in some cases.
The Super Mat foundation is also a new product and one that has a more reasonable price than other Yves Rocher foundations. I bought it for about 9 euros in the Rose 100 shade. It contains Baikal powder. I do think it’s great as a mattifying foundation and I appreciate the fact that it doesn’t become crumbly on the skin like some other mattifying foundations. It’s also transfer-proof as far as I could tell. I also used other Yves Rocher foundations in the past, but I couldn’t say that I was amazed by them. They were kinda ‘meh’.
The pencil is a Botanical Color eye pencil in the shade 07 Bleu Pensee. I don’t like it because it’s too creamy and I can’t draw thin lines, so I don’t like it for my waterline, where I would usually apply eye pencils. The colors is a very dark blue, almost black with blue sparkles. It looks beautiful in the swatch below, but I don’t like it as much on the eyes. Oh, and it smudges like crazy. I received mine from a friend, but the usual price is about 5 euros for this. Too much since there are better options out there.
Now, what I do like about Yves Rocher makeup is their lipsticks. They have such a creamy, comfortable formula, beautiful colors and a nice satin or shiny finish. I didn’t try their liquid lipsticks, but their normal bullet lipsticks were all great. Currently, I own two classic colors, so to say.
The Yves Rocher Moisturizing Cream lipstick in the shade 52 Beige Ginbembre is a beautiful nude color, that’s not too dark – I hate how some so-called nude lipsticks are actually dark brown on the lips. I think the size is a little smaller than for usual lipsticks because it contains only 3,7 grams.
The other lipstick I have is a limited edition one, a red lipstick launched for the Oui A L’Amour perfume. This is actually a lipstick from the Rouge Vertige line, with a satin finish, in the shade 56 Satin. The packaging is beautiful, black with gold writing on it and on the lipstick, the letters YR are embossed at the tip. It’s a classic red with blue undertones, like the ones that make your lips look white and suits most skin tones. I love it. This one also contains 3,7 grams. Both lipsticks were about 5 euros each, but there are worth the price. They also have a typical Yves Rocher scent, something floral I think, but I don’t mind it at all.
You can see the three products swatched below.

I also had mascara and face powders from Yves Rocher, but I can’t’ say that I had a product that blew me away. I think Yves Rocher makeup is ok, but I usually buy something only when it’s on sale.
They also have some face brushes that look interesting, but I haven’t tried them yet.
So there you have it, these are my opinions on Yves Rocher products – overall very positive and I will continue to add new stuff to my collection. I hope you found these short review useful.
