Used-up and tested #13 – beauty products leaving my collection

All-focus

Since yesterday was New Year’s Eve (Happy New Year to everyone by the way!) I got around to write quickly about some of the products leaving my collection only today, after a good day’s sleep until 2 PM. Like always, these are products that are simply not exciting enough to write separate reviews on or samples I tested only once or twice, so my opinions are not clearly defined.

Cien Liquid Soap Iced Gingerbread

All-focus

This is another winter LE liquid soap that did have a yummy gingerbread scent but was not that great overall because of the very liquid formula and the fact that it doesn’t feel moisturizing enough on the skin. I will probably use these liquid soaps again just because they’re so cheap and I don’t pay much for everyday hygiene products.

Elmiplant Moisture Miracle shower cream

All-focus

This one was surprisingly good. It has a strong and pleasant iris scent and it contains all kinds of oils that make the skin feel soft and smooth. It was a large 400 ml bottle and I definitely want to try out more of these Elmiplant shower creams because they are very nice and have a very affordable price.

Balea Mystic Night liquid soap

All-focus

Like most Balea products, this was another LE, with orchid and blackberries scent. It had a cream formula that felt very nice on the hands and a pleasant floral scent. Although similar price, I liked it a lot more than the Cien liquid soaps because of the richer formula.

Avon Natural Juicy Pomegranate and Mango Body Spray

All-focus

To be honest, I used this spray as an air refresher at work. It’s not persistent enough to use it on the body and I don’t usually wear overly fruity scents.

Nivea Dry Fresh Body Spray

All-focus

I tend to buy all kinds of variations of Nivea deodorants because I like their scent and they’re delicate for my under arm skin. This claims to have antibacterial properties. I don’t know about that, but I enjoyed using it and it had that classic Nivea scent.

essence I Love Nude eyeshadow

All-focus

I had this mono eyeshadow in the 04 sweet like chocolate shade. It has a nice satin finish and it’s a warm brown color that I often used in the crease, but because I like to use eyeshadow palettes instead of singles, this one was often overlooked and now it’s time to throw it away because it’s too old, it doesn’t perform as well as it used to and the plastic lid is broken.

Makeup Forever Reboot Foundation

All-focus

I got a sampler from Sephora with 4 shades of this foundation and I used two of them, Y315 and Y225. I liked it, but not enough to justify it’s higher price. The coverage could have been better and the finish was not that skin-like texture that I like my foundations to have. I’m glad I got to test it, but I wouldn’t want to purchase a full bottle of it.

Lady Million Empire EDP by Paco Rabanne

All-focus

To be honest, I was never a fan of Paco Rabanne fragrances because they’re too sweet for my taste. The perfume has osmanthus and orange blossom as top notes, patchouli and magnolia as middle notes and plum, vanilla and cognac as base notes. I like the magnolia in the mix and I could catch a little of this scent when wearing the perfume, but there’s too much fruit in it, especially the plum which is usually very strong and sweet in perfumes. It’s not something I would like to add to my perfume collection.

That’s about it for the last products I finished in 2019 and I’m curious to see what I will discover in 2020, especially since I’m thinking about trying out some subscription boxes.
