Ahava Sea-kissed Mineral Body Lotion review

All-focus

Ahava is one of the skin care brands I heard good things about, so I was happy to have a sample size of this body lotion which I took with me on vacation. Ahava products are cruelty free and their key ingredients are based on minerals from the Dead Sea.

Packaging:

The full size product (250 ml) comes in a bottle with a pump, but I had a sample size (40 ml) that came in a tube. Both containers are bright blue, which makes me think of sun, sea and summer vacation.

Texture:

The lotion is white and it has a light texture that absorbs fast into the skin. The scent is really nice, I can’t put my finger on it what it smells like, but it’s definitely nice and not too overpowering.

Ingredients:

Aqua (Mineral Spring Water), Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-30, Cetyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Propanediol (Corn derived Glycol), Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Cetearyl Sulfate, Maris Aqua (Dead Sea Water), Dimethicone, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Caprylyl Glycol, Chlorphenesin, Parfum (Fragrance), Benzyl Salicylate, Linalool, Limonene, Alpha Isomethyl Ionone, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Citronellol

The aloe vera extract is great to soothe the skin and it also contains witch hazel, which I know is controversial for some people, but since it’s a body lotion I don’t see the problem with it. It also contains Dead Sea Water.

Price and accessibility:

Ahava products are available in various online shops and it’s easy to purchase even in Romania. It’s on the pricier side, since the full size product is sold for 31 US dollars at Ulta, but there are places where you can get a deal for it. I personally wouldn’t pay that much for a body lotion, but it does feel more luxurious on the skin.

My overall opinion:

The body lotion leaves the skin smooth and silky and I also used it on my legs after shaving and I had no irritations. It absorbs fast into the skin and it doesn’t feel sticky at all. What I liked most about it was the pleasant scent.

I think this is a good body lotion and I would recommend it, but I just wouldn’t pay anything past 10 euros for a product like this because bath and body products are the ones that I use up the fastest.
