This was one of the two full size products that I got in my Douglas Autumn Box Of Beauty. Usually, I don’t go for face palettes just because it often happens that you can’t use all the shades in the palette because they are designed for different skin tones. However, since it’s here I’ve been using it.
Packaging:
The packaging is very beautiful, it’s a black plastic case with some embossed leaves on it that are both colorful and shimmery. It certainly looks good when you take it out to use it. There are 6 pans, containing a total of 11 grams of product.
Texture:

All the shades are shimmery which is not exactly a bonus, because I would have thought that if there are multiple shades in it, at leas one of each should be a matte one. The powders are creamy and feel very soft to the touch, although they are more on the hard side and you have to really swirl the brush into the pan to get a good amount of product.
Ingredients:
Talc, Mica, Isostearyl Neopentanoate, Dimethicone, Zinc Stearathe, Polybutene, Diisostearyl Malate, Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate, Isapropyl Isostearate, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Hexylene Glycol, Tocopherol, Lecithin, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Glyceryl Stearate, Glyceryl Oleate, Citric Acid, Aluminum Hydroxide, Tin Oxide, [+/-] CI 77891, CI 77491, CI 77499, CI 15850, CI 19140.
Swatches:

The shades have no names, so I’ll just have to show them to you as they are in the palette. There are three highlighters and three blushes.
The first one is a cool silver highlighter, the one in the middle is a golden highlighter and the third one is a copper shade highlighter. The last one seems to be the only one that could be suitable for darker skin tones, but it also means that I can’t use it because it’s too much. It looks more like a shimmery bronzer.
The blushes are a pinky-golden shade, a baby pink shade and a mauve shade (like the highlighters, the last shade is the most colorful, probably meant for darker skin tones).
Considering that I can only use 4 of the 6 shades (the others are just too dark for me), it’s already a waste of product (unless I decide to use them as eyeshadows). like I said before, they are all shimmery.
Price and accessibility:
Douglas products are available only in Douglas stores since this is their own brand. The palette is affordable, it was 79 lei at full price but since it’s an item from last year’s collection it’s almost always on sale for 47, 40 lei (around 9 euros) so it’s not bad for 6 shades. However, the pans are small, so there isn’t much product there. The entire palette contains the same quantity of product as most face powders.
My overall opinion:
I don’t hate it, but I also don’t love it and I wouldn’t have bought this on my own. The highlighters and the blushes are buildable, more for that subtle glow type of makeup. I like products like this, because you can make them look as subtle or as bright as you like. I wish I could use all the shade in the palette and there were at least one matte option for the blushes.
Also, the pans are so small that it’s difficult to use regular blush and highlighter brushes to pick up the product and it always gets messy. Luckily, the palette can be cleaned easily by just wiping it down with a tissue or a wet wipe.
I would recommend this only to someone who likes shimmery face powders and to experiment with different types of colors. The quality isn’t bad, they’re not chalky and they apply nice on the skin, but face palettes are just not my thing. I prefer individual products when it comes to face products because I can pick my favorite shades from the start.
