Naobay Detox Oxygen Light Cream review

I’m always happy to receive a nice full size face cream in my beauty box, and this month I received a great face cream from the brand Naobay. About the brand, I wrote a few things when I reviewed their Gentle Face Toner, so I won’t repeat myself. I like the brand enough to want to use some more of their products.

Packaging:

The cream usually comes in a jar with a wooden lid, but this one comes in a plastic tube with a wooden cap. i don’t know why, because the quantity is the same – 50 ml. I don’t mind it, but to be honest I tend to prefer jars for face creams because sometimes I squeeze out more product than I would actually need. The packaging is cute too, with the all-white and pale blue feathers on it.

Texture:

It’s a white cream with a light texture (hence the name), similar to that of whipped cream. I don’t know why it reminds me of that, but it does. It also has a subtle scent that reminds me of something sweet like rice pudding, but not in a bad way. Overall, it feels very nice and the scent is really not bothersome.

Ingredients:

Aqua, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice*, Glycerin, Isoamyl Cocoate, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil*, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Polyglyceryl-3 Dicitrate/Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil*, Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil*, Propanediol, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract*, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract*, Rubus Idaeus Fruit Extract*, Salvia Sclarea Extract*, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Benzyl Alcohol, Dehydroacetic Acid, Xanthan Gum, Parfum**.

*Organic Ingredient. ** Natural Origin Fragrance.

NATURAL 98,789%
ORGANIC 13,5%

Like you can probably tell from the ingredients list, there are lots of natural extracts in there: aloe vera (the second ingredient on the list), jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, grape seed oil, ginkgo extract, raspberry, sage and green tea. The green tea and the ginkgo extract are great antioxidants that form a barrier against pollution and free radicals, the raspberry locks in hydration and the aloe vera is great to calm the skin. There are no pore-clogging ingredients in this formula, so it should be safe for acne-prone skin as well.

Price and accessibility:

Naobay products are available in Romania in several online shops, so there are not hard to get. It can be found at a very good price in some online shops (like around 50 lei, which is about 12 euros), but you can also find it for double the price in other places, so it all depends on how much you look for it and if you pay attention for the price.

My overall opinion:

I love how the skin feels so smooth and calm and it reminds me very much of the Avant cream i used earlier this year and I think I know why. In my personal opinion, face creams that contain sweet almond oil and/or grape seed oil are the ones that makes the skin feel smooth and plump and feel hydrated throughout the day, regardless of the season or the external factors.

I like the formula, the ingredients list and even the price. I mean, if I can get it for around 12 euros, it’s a decent price for a face cream, not too cheap and not too expensive (considering that I buy a new face cream once a month). Overall, I think this is a good options for those with sensitive skin, but it’s also light enough for oily or combination skin (like I have). I must say, I’m intrigued by Naobay products. I like the brand’s philosophy and the two products I used so far were really nice, so I may try some more from them.
