Filorga Oxygen – Glow Super – Perfecting Radiance Cream review

Filorga is one of the brands, like I said before, that is so crazy expensive for my budget that I hate it when I find a product that I like. I had only a travel size of this face cream that I got in last month’s Lookfantastic beauty box and I have to put it on my list of products that I love.

Packaging:

The full size face cream (50 ml) comes in a jar, but the travel size that I have been using (15 ml) comes in a plastic tube, like most beauty samples. The packaging is simple and elegant, having a pale pink color.

Texture:

The cream has a very thick texture, almost like a balm, a pale pink color, very similar to the one of the packaging and a light scent, because Filorga products do contain fragrance, but nothing that bothers me.

Ingredients:

AQUA (WATER, EAU), PROPANEDIOL, HYDROGENATED COCONUT ACID, C15-19 ALKANE, SODIUM POLYACRYLATE, DIMETHICONE, GLUCONOLACTONE, PHENOXYETHANOL, AMMONIUM ACRYLOYLDIMETHYLTAURATE/VP COPOLYMER, HYDROXYETHYL ACRYLATE/SODIUM ACRYLOYLDIMETHYL TAURATE COPOLYMER, HYDROLYZED LUPINE PROTEIN, SYNTHETIC FLUORPHLOGOPITE, SODIUM STEAROYL GLUTAMATE, CI 77891 (TITANIUM DIOXIDE), SODIUM HYDROXIDE, COCO-CAPRYLATE CAPRATE, PARFUM (FRAGRANCE), GLYCERIN, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, ETHYLHEXYL SALICYLATE, CHLORPHENESIN, CETYL PALMITATE, SODIUM HYALURONATE, POLYSORBATE 80, SORBITAN STEARATE, TROPAEOLUM MAJUS FLOWER/LEAF/STEM EXTRACT, BIOSACCHARIDE GUM-1, BUTYL METHOXYDIBENZOYLMETHANE, POLYSORBATE 60, SORBITAN ISOSTEARATE, SUCROSE PALMITATE, HYDROGENATED POLYDECENE, DIETHYLHEXYL SYRINGYLIDENEMALONATE, TIN OXIDE, HYDROXYSTEARIC ACID, GLYCERYL LINOLEATE, SODIUM BENZOATE, PRUNUS AMYGDALUS DULCIS (SWEET ALMOND) OIL, SODIUM CHLORIDE, ALUMINA, CITRIC ACID, HYDROGENATED LECITHIN, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, FOLIC ACID, TOCOPHEROL, GLUCOSE, PALMITOYL TETRAPEPTIDE-10, POTASSIUM CHLORIDE, CI 17200 (RED 33), SUPEROXIDE DISMUTASE, POTASSIUM SORBATE, CALCIUM CHLORIDE, MAGNESIUM SULFATE, GLUTAMINE, SODIUM PHOSPHATE, ASCORBIC ACID, SODIUM ACETATE, LYSINE HCL, ARGININE HCL, ALANINE, HISTIDINE HCL, VALINE, LEUCINE, THREONINE, ISOLEUCINE, TRYPTOPHAN, PHENYLALANINE, TYROSINE, GLYCINE, SERINE, CYSTINE, CYANOCOBALAMIN, GLUTATHIONE, ASPARAGINE, ASPARTIC ACID, ORNITHINE HCL, GLUTAMIC ACID, NICOTINAMIDE ADENINE DINUCLEOTIDE, PROLINE, METHIONINE, TAURINE, HYDROXYPROLINE, GLUCOSAMINE HCL, COENZYME A, SODIUM GLUCURONATE, THIAMINE DIPHOSPHATE, RETINYL ACETATE, INOSITOL, NIACIN, NIACINAMIDE, PYRIDOXINE HCL, BIOTIN, CALCIUM PANTOTHENATE, RIBOFLAVIN, SODIUM TOCOPHERYL PHOSPHATE, THIAMINE HCL

There are some very nice ingredients in here, like niacinamide (anti-acne and my skin loves it), Tocopherol, Superoxide Dismutase, Sodium Tocopheryl Phosphate (antioxidants), retinyl acetate ( a cell-communicating ingredient), gluconolactone (exfoliant), ascorbic acid (skin brightening ingredient), many skin-like ingredients like glycerin, sodium hyaluronate, alanine, valine, proline, the biosaccharide gum-1 (a soothing ingredient) and it even has some sunscreen in it (ethylhexyl salicylate and butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane).

Also the sweet almond oil is a very good emollient and there are just so many good ingredients in this, coenzimes, folic acid, arginine and the list can go on and on. Aside from the fragrance, which is not a problem for me, I can’t find anything wrong with this face cream.

Price and accessibility:

Filorga products are available in Douglas stores and in a few online store, so it’s not a problem to purchase them but the price….This face cream is sold for 47 US dollars on the brand’s website and here I think it’s sold for more around 40 euros, so that’s the only thing that stops me from purchasing the full size product.

My overall opinion:

I compare this face cream to the Elemis Superfood Glow moisturizing primer because they have the same illuminating properties, but I think that this one is better, as much as I also like Elemis products. That one relied more on the mica to create the optical illusion of glowy skin, but this one does more than that and it does a better job at evening out the skin and reducing redness.

It also helps with my acne problems. I only use it in the morning because I want it to last me longer, but I already see considerable improvements and I didn’t have any more breakouts, so it’s not only for dry skin, I think it works perfectly fine for oily and combination skin as well, at least now during the cold season when the skin does need more hydration and not mattifying and drying face creams.

It’s soothing, it feels luxurious on the skin and it melts into the skin like a balm without leaving an oily residue behind, so that’s why I use a rather large quantity, but that doesn’t bother me.

Therefore, I highly recommend it and I would be curious to see how the entire Oxygen – Glow product line feels like. I even want to purchase another travel size at least from time to time because it’s one of those face creams that makes my skin look great without using foundation as I noticed I tend to skip foundation and use only some concealer since we have to wear face masks and it would be a hassle to apply foundation and make sure that it doesn’t transfer on the face mask.

What can I say? Good job, Filorga, you did it again. I love this face cream!
