Used-up and tested #43 – beauty products leaving my collection

Hello lovelies! I know I haven’t done many reviews lately but it’s because I have to keep a budget in mind for my beauty purchases so I don’t get to experiment much and I stick with the products I already know. So, this is a small amount and it’s what I used up over the last two months (that I didn’t already review), which is not much.

Bath and body products

Avon Pink Sands Bubble Bath – smells very nice, with coconut water and dragon fruit scent and it makes a lot of foam in the bath but I think it makes my skin break out. I mean, I always get some pimples here and there especially on my back, but with this one, there were more than usual.

Elmiplant Clay Minerals Spray Deodorant – this was a very nice surprise because it does work as an antiperspirant and it also has a very nice scent. It contains clay and natural prebiotics, so it was gentle for the under arm area.

The Beauty Dept. Very Berry Body Cream – I got this as a gift from someone from Belgium and I liked the scent very much. It was very yummy. It’s also a good body cream and I like body lotions that come in jars because it’s easier to scoop everything up. This is an Orange Creatives product, a company that does a lot of private label stuff, so I’m guessing it’s also very affordable.

Hair care products

Avon Advance Techniques Miracle Densifier Shampoo – I used the shampoo up a while after the conditioner because it was a bigger bottle. It was nice, it gave my hair plenty of volume, but it’s not something that made me believe that this is an amazing product.

Balea Sweet Paradise Dry Shampoo – the scent was very nice, but the shampoo did leave a lot of residue on the hair and it took some time to work it into the hair. I thought that Balea dry shampoos were good, but I prefer spending the extra 1-2 euros on a dry shampoo from Batiste.

Perfumes

Avon Eve Confidence EDP – I got this as a birthday gift from a colleague and it was an ok everyday scent, but not something that is totally up my alley. It has vanilla, wood and musk base notes, red currant, blackberry and jasmine middle notes and cream, frangipani and pear top notes. It was a little too fruity for my liking.

Karlovo Bulgarian Rose Very Berry Perfume Roll-on – this was a small 9 ml purse bottle that I got from another colleague and it was a rose oil-based perfume. I liked it because I Iike everything that is rose scented, but I’m not a big fan of Bulgarian roses, I prefer other rose varieties.

Makeup products

essence eyeshadow palette – I got this one in an advent calendar 2 or 3 years ago and it’s one of the reasons why I won’t get a makeup advent calendar this year. It’s difficult to find one that contains only products that I like and half of them are lip stuff and nail polishes. This palette is a neutral one and I liked it at first, but I find that I couldn’t make any eye look that I truly loved with it and I don’t want to keep palettes around for nothing and use up the eye shadows that I do like before they dry out.

Cien Holiday Time nail polish – I got it last winter and it’s a glittery transparent nail polish. I like it but it’s gone bad now because it’s thick and gooey and I can’t really spread it properly on the nails. Too bad, I didn’t get to use up much of it.

Avon Supershock Volume Loader mascara – this one is empty but I think it’s gone empty sooner than it should have because it was a very dry formula. I didn’t like it and I also didn’t like the chuncky wand. I don’t recommend it to anyone.

Lottie London AM to PM black eyeliner – This one was ok, but the retractable crayon broke in the middle and I always had to be careful not to drop it while I was drawing my eye contour. I’m tired of always having to putting it back together, so it’s time to throw it out.

That was all for now. I can’t say there will be many reviews coming in the future, but if I try anything worth writing about, I’m still here, doing my think on my little beauty blog.
