Yves Rocher Argan Rose Hammam Body Lotion review

I got this body lotion as a freebie when I ordered and advent calendar from Yves Rocher (yes, that’s my option for this year and it’s most likely going to be the only advent calendar that I have) and I decided to review it because it’s been a while since I checked out more recent Yves Rocher products. Plus the best and worst post dedicated to the brand on my blog is my most popular one, so if people are interested, I’m more than happy to comply.

Packaging:

The packaging is really cute. It’s just a plastic bottle, but the label is nice and colorful, very suitable with the entire Hammam theme. There is also a larger size available, but I have the 200 ml version.

Texture:

The lotion doesn’t have such a light texture, it’s a little bit more on the thick side, but I think that’s great now since the days start to get colder. It has a slight beige tint to it, so it’s not white, but I expected this since it contains argan oil.

Ingredients:

AQUA/WATER/EAU GLYCERIN COCO-CAPRYLATE/CAPRATE STEARYL ALCOHOL POLYGLYCERYL-3 DICITRATE/STEARATE ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE DIMETHICONE PRUNUS AMYGDALUS DULCIS (SWEET ALMOND) OIL ROSA DAMASCENA FLOWER WATER ARGANIA SPINOSA KERNEL OIL BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII (SHEA) BUTTER CARBOMER PARFUM/FRAGRANCE SODIUM BENZOATE ETHYLHEXYL GLYCERIN XANTHAN GUM TETRASODIUM EDTA METHYLPROPANEDIOL CITRIC ACID POTASSIUM SORBATE SODIUM HYDROXIDE TOCOPHEROLCI 14700 (RED 4) CI 19140 (YELLOW 5) CI 42090 (BLUE 1)10134v0

I appreciate the sweet almond oil, the shea butter, the aloe leaf juice and the argan kernel oil in the formula, which are all very nice natural ingredients that are great for the skin.

Price and accessibility:

Yves Rocher products are available in their stores and on their website. Like I said, I got the lotion for free, but at regular price it’s sold for about 6 euros, which is a bit much for just a body lotion. I think it’s worth it for someone who really likes the rose and argan combo, because all other ingredients can be easily found in cheaper lotions.

My overall opinion:

While I’m not the biggest fan of argan oil scent, the rose scent makes it more bearable. But if you don’t like the rose scent nor the argan one, then this is a big no-no, because the scent is quite strong. I think it’s a nice body lotion because it doesn’t feel sticky or greasy and it feels very nice on the skin, but I wouldn’t purchase it at full price. At least in my opinion.
