Now, another few days have passed, so let’s see what little surprises I found in my advent calendar.
Day 5 – Repairing balm shampoo with agave fructans

This is another mini bottle, just 50 ml, but at least I can get behind that because you don’t use as much shampoo as you use shower gel. This is a balm shampoo, which means it’s just as nourishing as one of those 2 in 1 shampoos and conditioners in my opinion. I already used it once. It has a very light scent and it leaves the hair soft, but it doesn’t feel heavy on the hair and it doesn’t make it look oily. However, I did use it on its own, without a conditioner. The full size contains 300 ml and it’s sold for around 7 euros, so the mini size is worth just 1.16 euros (let’s round it up to 1.15 euros).
Day 6 – Elixir Satine lipstick

What would an advent calendar be without a red lipstick? And since December 6th is Saint Nicholas’ Day (I don’t know all the countries where it’s celebrated but here in Romania we do celebrate it), I think it’s a beautiful gift for a special day. Now, this is a full size lipstick (3.7 grams), which is nice, but the color is red (Rouge), and I already have the exact same shade from Yves Rocher and in the exact satin formula but it was a special edition lipstick that I got when I purchased the Oui A L’amour perfume. It’s warmer red, more leaning towards orange and I can’t say I’m a big fan, but nevertheless it’s a nice lipstick. It’s sold for around 12 euros, so it’s a rather consistent gift, considering what other things are worth in this advent calendar (I think the skin care, body care and hair care products are just mini sizes).
Day 7 – Milky Almonds shower gel

This is part of the limited edition holiday collection, but the almond scent is something that they do often, each year if I’m not mistaken. The design is super cute, but the bottle is also a mini size, just 50 ml. The shower gel has a very thick consistency, a yummy scent and it’s clear. I very much enjoyed using it in the shower. Usually, it’s available in three variants: 200 ml bottle, 400 ml bottle and 100 ml bottle for the concentrated variant. Since the most popular variant, the 200 ml one is sold for about 4.5 euros, the mini size is worth 1.12 euros, but I’ll round it up to 1.15 euros.
Day 8 – Pure Algue Ultra-Fresh Cleansing Gel

I always like a nice skin care product that contains algae, so this cleansing gel is a nice little thing to try out. It’s refreshing, but hydrating, which I like, especially during the winter season. It’s a mini size, containing 30 ml, but since it’s a skin care product I’m not as bothered as I am with the tiny shower gel bottles. It’s available in two variants: a tube containing 125 ml and a bottle with a pump that contains 390 ml. Since the 125 ml size is the most popular product and it’s sold for around 8 euros, the mini size is worth 1.92 euros, I’ll round it up to 1.95 euros.
And that brings the grand total for the products I got during the last 4 days to 16.25 euros (but the lipstick was the most expensive product). So, it was a nice mixture of skin care, hair care, makeup and hair care. The lipstick is a repeat product for me, but all the other products are new to my collection.
