Opening my 2022 Yves Rocher advent calendar days 13 – 16

I can’t believe half of the calendar is already gone, which means that Christmas is just around the corner and it also means that I’ll be done with this calendar next week.

Day 13 – Elixir Botanique Repairing Antipollution Day Cream

Since I have already received the night cream, it was about time to also have the day cream from the Elixir Botanique line. This is also a face cream with a gel texture and it contains algae extracts having anti-aging properties. I’m sorry to say but it also has that sticky feel to it and I don’t like that in any face cream, but especially not in day creams. The full size is a 50 ml jar sold for around 30 euros, so the mini size containing 7 ml is worth 4.20 euros. It’s an expensive face cream in my opinion and I don’t think that it’s really worth it.

Day 14 – Juicy Berries Shower Gel

Time for another limited edition product from the holidays collection. This another shower gel, this time a berry scented one. It’s available in three variants: a 400 ml bottle, a 200 ml bottle and a concentrated variant in a 100 ml bottle. This is just a mini size containing 50 ml. The design of the bottle is super cute, like all the products from the collection. The 200 ml variant is sold for about 4.5 euros, so the mini size is worth 1.12 euros, so I will round it up to 1.15 euros.

Day 15 – Milky Almonds Scrub In Gel

And here we have another cute surprise, a product from the limited edition holiday collection, a body scrub with the delicious almond scent. Too bad it’s just a mini size one that contains 30 ml. The full size contains 150 ml and it’s sold for around 11 euros, so the mini size is worth 2.20 euros. It’s a nice body scrub, don’t get me wrong, but it looks more cute than it is a product that justifies the price.

Day 16 – Rinsing Vinegar

So, I have a shampoo and a conditioner and what was missing? This is a very interesting product, a rinsing vinegar. We all know that vinegar is excellent to make the hair shine and it’s also great for oily hair but I was never a fan of the smell of vinegar. Well, this rinsing vinegar smells like strawberries. I know, it’s not an innovative thing, but I like products that are just improving a simple concept. The full size product is available in two variants: a 150 ml bottle and a 400 ml bottle. The small bottle is sold for around 8 euros, so the mini size containing 50 ml is worth 2.66 euros, so I’ll round it down to 2.65 euros.

In this batch there were also some interesting products, some bath products, a skin care product and a hair care product, but no makeup or nail polish or decorative cosmetic in general. All the minis are worth 10.20 euros, which is not much but I with the few full size products the advent calendar will probably still be worth it in the end.
