Luvia Cosmetics Eyeshadow Primer review

Once a blue moon I get an eyeshadow primer. I tend to use those on and off because for my everyday makeup needs, I can go without it. And when it’s incredibly hot outside, I completely avoid eyeshadows and such because I don’t want to have some runny eyeshadow on my eyelids.

Luvia Cosmetics is a cruelty free and vegan brand established in 2013. I know they’re a German band and they’re available in some drugstore beauty stores, but we have them too here in Romania through several online shops.

Packaging:

The eyeshadow primer comes in a simple white plastic tube and it has a simple sponge wand like any other eyeshadow primer or concealer or liquid eyeshadow.

Texture:

It looks beige on the wand but it comes off as a white liquid that is very easy to blend into the skin. It doesn’t have any scent.

Ingredients:

ISODODECANE, TRIMETHYLSILOXYSILICATE, PARAFFIN, PARAFFIN, GLYCOL MONTANATE, SYNTHETIC WAX, MICA, DICAPRYLYL CARBONATE, QUATERNIUM-18 BENTONITE, HYDROGENATED STYRENE/ISOPRENE COPOLYMER, PENTAERYTHRITYL TETRAISOSTEARATE, SILICA DIMETHYL SILYLATE, CETYL DIMETHICONE, VINYL DIMETHICONE/METHICONE SILSESQUIOXANE CROSSPOLYMER, POLYGLYCERYL-4 ISOSTEARATE, PROPYLENE CARBONAT, PHENOXYETHANOL, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, ARGANIA SPINOSA KERNEL OIL, GLYCINE SOJA (SOYBEAN) OIL, DAUCUS CAROTA SATIVA (CARROT) ROOT EXTRACT, BETA-CAROTENE, TOCOPHEROL. [+/- (May Contain / Peut contenir): (CI 77492) IRON OXIDES, CI 77891 (TITANIUM DIOXIDE), CI 77491 (IRON OXIDES)]

I appreciate the natural caring ingredients in it such as the argan oil and the carrot root extract and other than that it’s a 100% vegan formula.

Price and accessibilty:

Like I said before, Luvia Cosmetics products are available in several online shop and, of course, on the brand’s online shop at the price of 14.90 euros, which is not exactly cheap but it’s also not that expensive.

My overall opinion:

To be honest, I didn’t notice any significant difference when I used the eyeshadow primer. The colors look the same and after a long day at work (about 10 hours), there was definitely some creasing. So, for that price, I think that there are better eyeshadow primers out there and this one is just kind of meh. Like an eyeshadow primer from essence, which you can get for like 5 euros or even less.
