We Are Paradoxx Volume Blow Dry Spray

I had the opportunity to try a shampoo and a conditioner from We Are Paradoxx last year and I recently received a styling spray in the Lookfantastic beauty box. I liked the products then, but I know they’re a bit expensive for what they are because I didn’t have any wow results.

Packaging:

Since this is a “no plastic” brand, the spray comes in an aluminium spray bottle. The full size contains 100 ml, but I have the 30 ml travel size. The label is pink because this is the color scheme for the hair volume line.

Texture:

It feels like any hair styling spray and it’s not sticky at all. It also has a nice citrus scent which I don’t mind in hair products because I like that my hair smells nice.

Ingrediens:

Aqua (Water)*, Polysorbate 20, VP/VA Copolymer, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein*, Polyquaternium-55, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil*, Glycerin*, Pelargonium Roseum (Geranium) Leaf Oil*, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil*, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil*, Sorbitol*, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Kernel Oil**, Sodium Hydroxide, Hydrolyzed Wheat Starch*, Mentha Arvensis (Peppermint) Leaf Oil*, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil**, Orbignya Oleifera (Babassu) Seed Oil**, Caprylyl Glycol*, Humulus Lupulus (Hops) Extract**, Lamium Album (White Nettle) Extract**, Panax Ginseng Root Extract**, Plantago Psyllium Seed Extract**Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Benzyl Alcohol, Dehydroacetic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Linalool*, Limonene*, Citronellol*, Geraniol*, Citral*. *Natural Origin , **Organic

The key ingredients are all natural such as the white nettle extract, lavender oil, bergamot oil, eucalyptus oil, argan oil, peppermint oil, coconut oil and ginseng root extract. Overall, a good formula as far as I can tell.

Price and accessibility:

We Are Paradoxx products are available in Douglas stores. The full size of this hair spray is sold in the brand’s online shop for 25 euros, which I think it’s a bit pricey even for a styling product. Granted, you don’t use it as much as the shampoo an conditioner for example, but still.

My overall opinion:

Since I have very fine hair, volume is always an issue for me. This hair spry did add some volume to the roots, but honestly I get better results with my Wella styling mousse and it’s cheap. So, I’m not saying that this is a bad product, but it’s not something that I would necessarily recommend. Especially since I would expect my hair to go up to the roof for the 25 euros price tag.
