It always surprises me how some really cheap cosmetic products can have such surprising formulas and I have to wonder why some things are so expensive. I get that sometimes we have to pai for the brand, but it’s an excessive amount. I checked with the INCI beauty app what affordable night cream I could use and this one has the highest score that was also availeble to me.
Packaging:
It’s a simple blue plastic tube that contains 50 ml, but the outer packaging had enough information about the ingredients and the benefits of the face cream.
Texture:
It’s a thicker cream considering that it’s meant to be used in the evening, so the skin does look a little shiny after using it, but it doesn’t leave a greasy coat on it. It doesn’t have any scent because it doesn’t contain any perfume.
Ingredients:
AQUA | NIACINAMIDE | C12-15 ALKYL BENZOATE | GLYCERIN | ETHYLHEXYL STEARATE | VITIS VINIFERA SEED OIL | CETYL ALCOHOL | MYRISTYL MYRISTATE | GLYCERYL STEARATE CITRATE | TOCOPHERYL ACETATE | GLYCERYL STEARATE | PHENOXYETHANOL | HYDROXYACETOPHENONE | XANTHAN GUM
The packaging claims a high niacinamide concentration (10%), which is very good and also another key ingredient is the grape seed oil (5%), which is excellent as an anti-aging ingredient and as an antioxidant.
Price and accessibility:
Balea products are available only in DM stores at the price of around 2 euros. Can you imagine? Just 2 euros for a night cream that has such a simple formula with high niacinamide concentration. The ingredients are very simple indeed and it’s not like the grape seed oil is something special, but it’s effective.
My overall opinion:
After using the night cream each evening for about two week, I’m very happy with it. The skin feel nice and hydrated, it has a good effect on improving the skin texture regarding dilated pores and small bumps, so there’s nothing bad that I could say about it and I would highly recommend it. And once again, this just proves me that you don’t need fancy creams for them to have effect.
For the next time, I will probably repurchase this night cream or even use just a simple face oil in the evening because I don’t want to depend to all kinds of expensive face cream that are sometimes not even that good or that aren’t better than simpler products that you can pick up from the drugstore. At lest that’s how I feel for now.

I have used up the niacinamide serum from Balea. It was ok. I also used the day cream with niacinamide that has SPF 30 and it was on the thicker side and has some specific, almost plasticky smell to it. But that one I didn’t used up because I moved to something else and it didn’t impress me much. Does this one have some smell to it?

This cream doesn’t have any smell at all. So far, I’m happy with it because the skin feels nice and soft when I wake up in the morning and it didn’t cause any bad reactions.

Thank you. I might try that one but I have so many other products at the moment that I am trying to finish up.
