Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Liner review

I thought that since it’s Valentine’s Day, a heart background was suitable to do a product review from this month’s Bellebox. I wanted to start with the makeup product, because it’s the one that I used first.

Packaging:

I’m sorry for the colors, they’re off because I didn’t realize how reflective the tube is. Although it’s a more expensive product, the tube is made of plastic, it’s note one of those cool metal tubes, it just looks like one. But it does look good, I’ll give it that. Also the quantity is just 2.4 ml, which seems to be small for me. Granted, I don’t use liquid liner every day, but still, it seems that it would have been nice to get something more from this.

Texture:

This is such a creamy liner, but it does dry up very fast and the finish is matte in the end. I got it in the shade Burgundy, which is a nice deep wine shade and honestly it’s not something that I would have picked up for myself, but it looks beautiful and I feel like it makes my hazel eyes really pop.

Ingredients:

WATER/AQUA/EAU, STYRENE/ACRYLATES COPOLYMER, GLYCERIN, PROPANEDIOL, SILICA, 1,2-HEXANEDIOL, XANTHAN GUM, PPG-26-BUTETH-26, SODIUM CITRATE, TRIETHYL CITRATE, PEG-40 HYDROGENATED CASTOR OIL, CAPRYLHYDROXAMIC ACID, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, LACTIC ACID, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, SODIUM DEHYDROACETATE, PHENOXYETHANOL, IRON OXIDES (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), TITANIUM DIOXIDE (CI 77891)

Price and accessbility:

Anastasia Beverly Hills are available at Sehpora, in the brand’s own online shops and in several online shops as well. The liner is sold for around 23 euros, which is a bit much for what i would pay for a liquid liner, especially since this is not a makeup product that I use all the time. But I do have to say, that the quality is there so maybe the price is justifed.

My overall opinion:

I’m not a fan of liquid liners and of liners in general because I have folded eyelids and I don’t use liners that often. I can’t get to make the lines look good, they just seem to make my eyes look droopy.

But, the shade is beautiful, the product is very easy to apply, it dries up fast and it doesn’t smear at all. And I expected it to happen because of my hooded eyes ad because it often happens with eye liners, but this one really stood the test because it didn’t smear at all. I can’t y how it acts when it’s hot or humid outside, because it’s still rather cold here, but so far so good.

I would say that if you’re the type of person that wears a liner each day and you want something of good quality, this one is worth it, even if it’s more expensive. But if you’re like me and you wear a liner just now and then and I just hope for the best that it doesn’t go dry on me, I don’t think it’s such a good idea to spend more than 20 euros on it.
